Fast winds and heavy rain reduced visibility on the roads – and electronic signs asked motorists to reduce speed.

Some residents were seen taking out umbrellas during the unstable weather conditions, even after authorities urged people to stay indoors.

    Today's forecast

The National Center of Meteorology said weather conditions will remain unstable today. The weather will be cloudy with cumulus clouds forming in various areas of the country.

Moderate to active winds blow at times, and clouds raise dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility. Rain of varying intensity will fall, accompanied by lightning and thunder.

Temperatures can reach 33 degrees Celsius in the country. The temperature is scheduled to rise to 24 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi and 23 degrees Celsius in Dubai.

However, temperatures are expected to drop today and may reach 20 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi, 19 degrees Celsius in Dubai, and 10 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas.

The weather will be humid at night and Sunday morning, with the possibility of mist or mist forming in some western areas. Levels will range from 45 to 90 percent in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
