Chautauqua Lake in the southwest of New York may be one of the best archives in the area. Just a few hours from Bovalo, Cleveland, or even Pittsburg, this destination offers a sudden mixture of culture, history and fun in the open air. Whether you are picking a comedy at the National Comedy Center, wandering in the Chautauqua BELLE STAMBOAT boat, or lunch in a comfortable cafe in Jamestown, there is something for every type of traveler. I have collected 15 of my favorite things around Chautauqua Lake – from walking long distances and riding boats to shopping, museums and great food – to help you plan your perfect quality.
1. Visit the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum
At Jamestown, you can enter the history of the TV at the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz. From original fashion to entertainment, this spot brings fans “I love Lucy” behind the scenes. The exhibition that includes their apartment in New York City and the Vitameatavegamin group made me smile from ear to ear – very longing but it is worth stopping ..
2. The National Comedy Center tour
Spend hours of laughter on your way through the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, a modern museum that celebrates comedians and comedy stories. It is characterized by rare interactive offers and shots. Discover what the taste of “sense of humor”, then try to test your comic timing in the backup phase that restores classic parking procedures.
3. Shopping and eating in downtown Jamestown
Spend the morning exploring boutique in the downtown of the unique city of Jamestown – then went to Labyrint Press Company for lunch. Here, the Get Shorty Flatbread is covered with three cheeses, and the sliced tomato sauce is a real local favorite, completely associated with black and blue raspberry juice or iced tea. I loved the comfortable atmosphere and the way we highlight all the fresh ingredients dish in Chauteauqua.
4. Learn at the Robert Jackson Center
Dive into American legal history at the Robert Jackson Centerand Honoring the Supreme Court judge who led the prosecution in Nuremberg trials. Law coverage exhibitions, justice, and history of World War II. The identical version of the courtroom and rare antiques made the experience look very real. This was a very interesting look at the life and profession of justice in the Supreme Court.
5. Start in the center of grape discovery
Start your journey at the Discovery Grape Center in Westfield to learn about the legacy of the wine industry in the region. Explore the exhibits, a sample of wine and local juices, and pick up regional products in the store. I liked to see the tools of old wine and depletion of cocord grapes on the sunny courtyard.

The lake sailed on the historic Belle Chautauqua Belle, one of the last steam boats that still operate in the United States, the tour gives an insight into the history of the region with views of the lake with picturesque views. We liked to sit on the upper deck, and feel breeze and painting for passers -by.
7. Play “Stone” at Southern Tier Brewing Co.
Go to the empty Tier Tier South Brewing Trend Brewing to enjoy craftsmanship and unique “stones” (think about Bocci Ball but with obstacles). The comfortable space is perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying live music-there is sitting outside or heading to a lobe empty for a meal. We spent the slow in the afternoon in the afternoon and a late lunch from burgers and power!
8. Lift the tracks at the Odoubon Natural Center
Your legs extend with walking across wetlands and forest paths at the Odoubon Natural Center. Located outside Jamestown outside Jamestown, it is a quiet place to monitor birds and fun in the open air. With six miles of walking paths and curtains at bird watching sites.

10. Relax at Chauteauqua Harbour
Relax in luxury at Chauteauqua Harbour Hotel, located directly on the waterfront. Enjoy putting green outdoors, relax in the inner or outer swimming pool, or keep active in the great fitness center. Our room had a balcony overlooking the marina – perfect for morning coffee.
11. I walk through the Lusail Paul Memorial Park
Located in Celoron, this is the Lakeside park built with its hometown, Lucille Ball. Lucille Ball Memorial Park features a famous Lucy Luka and great views of the waterfront. There is a long boat and a perfect berth for hunting a little hunting. Make the path of peaceful walking and the views of the Chautauqua Lake one of my favorite photo sites on the trip.
12. Dinner at the Landmark Restaurant
Spoil yourself with a delicious meal in the Landmark Restaurant in Jamestown. This local favorite provides a warm atmosphere and a list full of meat slices, seafood and seasonal dishes. Stop at the vital bar or enjoy a romantic dinner in the elegant dining room. The thickness of salmon and strokes with lemon butter sauce was.
13. Dunkirk Lighthouse’s & Old warriors
North of Chautauqua Lake, Dunkirk Lighthouse provides comprehensive views of Lake Erie and deep diving in local history. The 61 -foot spiral tower climbed and is still equipped with the original Fresal lens, to take a panoramic look at the coastal line and the surrounding water. After taking the scene, exploring the house of the 1800 -ranked goalkeeper and a wonderful set of military and marine artifacts.
14. Visit bemus Point village
Bemus Point is a charming city with eating in Lexide, local stores, and views of the waterfront. It is also the home of the historic Beive -stow. Providing family fun for generations, walked along the sidewalk and watched the sunset lights the lake with gold.
15. Visit the Sinika Irocoa National Museum
An hour drive from Lake Cotukua in Salamanca, the Erocoa National Museum includes a wide and important range of Airokua beads and the effects of Senica. You can learn more about the original American culture in New York State through overwhelming exhibitions that highlight the traditional crafts, storytelling and the importance of Hiawatha Belt. I am particularly surprised by sophisticated beads patterns and museum’s dedication to preserving the heritage of Senica Irookoa.
