Here is the weather forecast for India.
Thursday (February 22)
- Widespread snow and rain are likely to occur in Sikkim, western sub-Himalayas of Bengal, and Arunachal Pradesh.
- Isolated heavy snowfall is expected in some areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
- Fairly widespread snow/rainfall with thunderstorms is expected over Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
- Scattered snowfall is likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, West Bengal, eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh.
- Coastal Odisha, Rayalaseema and Kerala will witness hot and humid weather
Friday (February 23)
- Thunder is likely in several parts of the Northeast.
- Scattered snowfall is likely over Sikkim, West Bengal, eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh.
- Fairly widespread snow/rainfall with thunderstorms is expected over Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
National 5-day forecast:
A western disturbance in the western Himalayan region will bring isolated to scattered light to moderate rain/snowfall over the region from February 22 to 27.
In eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh, there will be scattered light/moderate rains accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
Moreover, cyclonic circulation over northeastern Assam and adjoining region and high moisture feed from the Bay of Bengal over eastern and northeastern India during the next two-three days will result in the following weather conditions:
Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate snowfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland from 22 to 23 February.
Bihar and Jharkhand can expect isolated to scattered light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning on February 22, and West Bengal and Sikkim can expect similar conditions on February 22-23. There is also a possibility of isolated heavy rain and blizzard activity in the Ganges in West Bengal.
Coastal Odisha, Rayalaseema and Kerala will witness hot and humid weather on February 22.
