Academy leadership promoted Bridget Wilder to become the first chief people and culture officer with the authority to build what the organization called a people-centered culture.
Reporting to Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy Museum Director and President Jacqueline Stewart, Wilder will focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, overseeing talent management and development, training, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR and employee resources systems and practices. The executive director previously served as the Academy's interim president of people and culture and the Academy Museum's vice president of people and culture.
Prior to that, Wilder served as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at California Institute of the Arts, and Executive Director of Human Resources at Albany State University.
Kramer and Stuart described Wilder as “a strategist, compassionate, community builder and a great team” who would help shape the “comprehensive leadership department.”
