A Pittsford woman, Jennifer Hicks, was reportedly found dead after going missing on January 1, 2024. The 33-year-old woman was Found at the bottom of the bridge between Scio Street and Portland Street. According to authorities, no signs of crime have been reported as of this writing.
Her disappearance had a huge impact on the entire community as many individuals tried hard to locate her after her disappearance. However, all searches ended on Tuesday.

After disappearing on the first day of the year, Jennifer Hicks, a 33-year-old woman, was found dead the next day on Tuesday. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office confirmed that her body was found at the bottom of a levee in Rochester. Sheriff's spokesman, Deputy Brendan Hurley, said the search for the woman was conducted by the Rochester Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
It appears that the authorities did not find any signs of foul play, and the case remains under investigation. According to the Democrat & Chronicle, the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office has not yet determined the Pittsford woman's cause of death.
Law enforcement said Jennifer's last known location was Ziggy's Bar on Railroad Street in Rochester, where she was seen at approximately 2:30 a.m. local time on Monday. MP Brendan Hurley confirmed the same thing.

Hicks was reportedly wearing a flannel shirt when she disappeared. “While the investigation is still in its early stages, there appear to be no signs of foul play. Our investigators will continue to work with the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office, which will make a positive identification and rule on the cause of death.”
The incident made headlines just days after Savannah Soto was reported missing on December 23, 2023. Just days before New Year's Eve, the bodies of Soto and her boyfriend were recovered in San Antonio. The case is currently under investigation and officials are trying to locate the suspect(s) potentially involved in the alleged murders.
