Since the federal government is doing nothing to help with the dire situation at the border, Texas has taken several measures to prevent illegal immigration in key places.
New police powers and various anti-personnel devices such as barbed wire were introduced to try to stop the unprecedented invasion.
Now the Justice Department under President Biden is trying to remove the razor wire.

Biden Justice Department opens borders again
While Democrats and the media have claimed that the border is “not open” and “operationally secure,” the facts tell a different story.
December 2023 was the worst month for illegal border crossing in American history. Court dates for illegal aliens will be set nearly a decade from now. The federal government is openly fighting Texas to keep the border open.
Fox News reports:
The Justice Department filed the request with the Supreme Court after the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals last month barred the administration from “harming, destroying, or otherwise interfering with the affairs of the State of Texas.” [concertina wire] Fence near Eagle Pass, Texas” unless it is a medical emergency.
Texas filed a lawsuit against the administration in October over the destruction of portions of more than 29 miles of wire it had installed to stop illegal crossings. The state accused the government of illegally destroying state-owned property, but it also harmed efforts to secure the border.
“By cutting razor wire in Texas, the federal government not only illegally destroyed Texas-owned property; it also disrupted the state’s border security efforts, leaving gaps in Texas’ border barriers and harming Texas’ ability to deter Effective illegal entry into its territory.

What was Texas supposed to do?
The story continued, “A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson told Fox in October that it does not comment on pending lawsuits, but that “in general, Border Patrol agents have a responsibility under federal law to take those who have crossed into U.S. territory without authorization into custody for processing.” their requests,” as well as acting when there are circumstances that put our workforce or immigrants at risk.
Readers may notice something missing in DHS's response: any mention of the American people.
Taxpaying people whose homes are being invaded by millions of unscrutinized foreigners from almost every continent of the planet.
“A federal district court judge denied the state's preliminary injunction request, but the Fifth Circuit granted it. “The Justice Department on Tuesday asked the Supreme Court for temporary relief so it can remove the barbed wire fence at the federal government's discretion,” Fox News added.
This comes just after December set a record for the highest number of migrant encounters along the border.
The federal government won't help with the border and now the Biden White House wants to prevent Texas from helping itself.
