PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Rainfall is finally starting to ease from south to north. Our area will have a few lingering sprinkles overnight.

But as the sun rises on Monday, the NEXT weather team expects us to be looking at sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Monday will be mostly sunny and breezy. While maximum temperatures on Monday will be near or around 50 degrees, temperatures will drop on Tuesday, with gusty northwesterly winds blowing.

Tuesday is set to be the coldest day since February 25, with highs only in the upper 30s.

The NEXT weather team expects the cold trend to continue through Wednesday as well, before we see a return to average late November or early December temperatures on Thursday.

Some weak systems will move in late Friday night and again Sunday, giving us a chance for light rain each day.

    Here's your 7-day forecast:

MondayMostly sunny: high 48, low 40
