Coming off the New England Patriots' 12th loss of this dismal season and with one game remaining that didn't matter, coach Bill Belichick once again faced questions about his future on Monday. The Patriots won six Super Bowls and 17 AFC East titles during 19 years under Belichick, but the struggles since the departure of quarterback Tom Brady have led to previously unimaginable questions. Some recent reports have stated that owner Robert Kraft has already decided to part ways with Belichick after the season; Others suggested that the owner had not yet made his decision. Belichick faced at least two questions about his future from reporters Monday morning. A reporter asked: “Obviously there's been a lot of focus this week on your future. I was just wondering what your level of desire is to return to the Patriots and if there have been any discussions about that?” Belichick responded: “Yes, I'm focused on getting ready “For airplanes.” “We haven't played them in a long time, we've had the whole season, so I'll be working on the Jets here and getting ready to go.” This was followed by a similar question from another reporter. “In terms of your time in New England, you've spent more than a third of your life as the head coach of this team. What do the fans mean, what does it all mean to you? Was there any time to reflect?” “We'll deal with that another time,” Belichick said. “Right now, we're trying to prepare the team for the Jets, finish the Buffalo game, continue to coach the team and try to help the players and the team play better.”
