Per KXAN:
After a mysterious “surge” rocked parts of Central Texas Tuesday morning, another “surge” rocked areas around Georgetown.
Many KXAN viewers heard the explosion, which occurred in East Georgetown around 11:40 PM on Saturday. One viewer who lives in the Saddle Creek neighborhood said the sound shook the floors and windows of their home.
Mysterious 'bang' shakes homes in parts of Central Texas, KXAN viewers say Georgetown Police Chief Corey Tchida said he heard a bang Saturday night as well. Around the same time, he said the Williamson County Sheriff's Office responded to a burst water main — which could be related to the “bang” that was heard.
GPD has received multiple calls about the “surge,” but the cause of the surge remains unclear, Tschida said.
