ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Kits containing warm weather supplies were delivered Sunday as The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta teamed up with Thomas Scientific to meet the community's winter needs.
Thomas Scientific said teams assembled 1,500 “warm wish kits” for seniors and youth starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and Convention Center to help those in need.
Each set will include scarves, gloves, hats, socks, lip balm and a warm, handwritten note of wishes from Thomas Leader in a reusable tote bag, the company said in a press release.
