Conditions have become calmer this morning with scattered coastal showers and temperatures in the 60s. The winds returned to almost a standstill with mostly cloudy skies to start the day after rain fell at a rate of 0.5 to 1 in most communities on Saturday. The cold front that was working in Southwest Florida stalled yesterday, leaving conditions still unsettled today but severe weather is no longer a threat. Keep an umbrella handy throughout the day as isolated rain showers continue to be in the forecast with highs reaching the 70s. High pressure will return again tonight with temperatures reaching the cool 50s. Tomorrow will be drier but our dry stretch won't last long as another cold front will push through Tuesday night posing another severe weather threat. Scattered strong to severe storms are possible late Tuesday night. Ahead of the system, Tuesday will be very breezy with wind gusts up to 35 mph. Highs will remain in the 70s this week with morning periods in the 50s to 60s due to the effects of multiple systems operating across Southwest Florida.
