A football team from Martinique that traveled 8,000 miles (12,900 km) round trip to play a cup match in France lost the match 12–0.
The Golden Lions are the ruling heroes of the island, an overseas region France In the Caribbean, and one of several teams from outside the country to enter the French Cup.
Unfortunately for them, they were drawn against Lille, from the French First Division, in the round of 64.
There was no imaginary upset, as Lyon failed to roar, suffering a 12-0 defeat to the former French champions in Saturday's match.
They conceded seven goals before half-time, including four in nine minutes towards the end of the first half.
Jonathan David and Edun Zegrova both scored hat-tricks in a record win for the hosts at Stade Pierre Maurois.
The Golden Lion had one shot on goal, but Lille had 37 shots.
The visitors' long journey to northern France began on Wednesday with a direct flight to Paris.
They had plenty of time to contemplate defeat during the 4,000-mile (6,400 km) journey home.
