WAR: Biden regime files emergency motion asking Supreme Court to allow border agents to cut steep border barriers set up by Texas – Gov. Greg Abbott issues defiant response | Critic portal

The Biden regime's determination to betray the American people and remake America has reached a new level. They now want the U.S. Supreme Court to remove a critical hurdle Texas created to stop illegal border crossings, leaving the state defenseless against illegal alien invasion.

As CNN reported, the Biden regime wants border agents to have the authority to cut the razor wire that Texas has installed on the banks of the Rio Grande to deter border crossers. Texas Governor Greg Abbott's administration has installed razor wire near the Rio Grande River in Eagle Pass, Texas, to slow the illegal alien invasion sweeping the state. Crime rates have skyrocketed, property has been destroyed, and precious state resources have been depleted, all thanks to the regime's open borders policy.

When Border Patrol agents surrendered to the regime's orders and cut some of the razor wire last October, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit. He correctly said that the measure destroys state property and undermines security to help illegal aliens cross the border.

A federal judge declined to impose an injunction against the federal government. However, the conservative 5th Circuit Court of Appeals intervened and granted Texas a temporary victory last month, ordering Border Patrol agents to halt the practice while legal proceedings proceed.

Biden's Injustice Department responded Tuesday, filing an emergency motion asking the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling. U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Prelogar wrote in a court filing that Border Patrol agents have authority under federal law to access private lands at the border and that Texas has no right to prevent them from carrying out their duties.

Like other law enforcement officers, Border Patrol agents working under difficult conditions at the border must make context-dependent, sometimes split-second decisions about how to enforce federal immigration laws while maintaining public safety.

But the injunction prohibits agents from passing or moving physical barriers erected by the state that prevent access to the very borders of those charged with patrolling and the individuals charged with arresting and searching them.

Abbott responded to the regime's actions with complete defiance and said that Texas would continue to protect its porous border.

Biden pleads with SCOTUS to let him cut razor wire installed at border in Texas.

    See you in court.

Americans and the courts will reject Biden's hostility to immigration laws.

Texas will continue to deploy the National Guard to build border barriers and push back illegal immigrants.

As NBC points out, the razor wire is part of Abbott's immigration enforcement plan, called Operation Lone Star. This plan also entails busing thousands of illegal immigrants to Democratic-run sanctuary cities and arresting illegal immigrants on trespassing charges.

As the Gateway Pundit previously reported, the latter part of the plan has proven remarkably effective. Many sanctuary city mayors are now pleading with the system for help as illegal immigrants overwhelm homeless shelters and eat up services.

Texas had previously placed buoys in the Rio Grande River to stop crossings, prompting the Biden regime to file a lawsuit. Democratic-led lower courts ordered the buoys removed.
