Given all the elements we're set to see this postseason, it's time to reveal our predictions for the 2024 NBA playoffs.
The NBA playoffs are one of the best times in sports, and this year, things are heating up to see notable matchups in the Eastern and Western Conferences. The competition is fierce, and although the Denver Nuggets look like the team to beat again this season, we could see potential postseason upsets over the next couple of months.
Anything can happen when the top eight teams in each conference collide with each other, including a Cinderella run, the best NBA playoff series ever, and much more. With that said, here are our four predictions for the 2024 NBA playoffs.
The Sixers will make it to the conference finals
The Philadelphia 76ers have gotten big news in recent days with Joel Embiid returning from injury.
The Cameroonian-born player represents a major boost to the team after missing two months from competition due to a knee injury. The Sixers have managed to stay afloat and now with their superstar on the court, whoever they face in the postseason will have a lot to deal with.
The Bucks would lose in the first round
The Milwaukee Bucks have struggled for consistency this season. After the firing of Adrian Griffin and the landing of Doc Rivers, the Eastern Conference powerhouse has had trouble finding its rhythm and preparing for the postseason.
As of now, it's all up in the air for the Bucks, and with Giannis Antetokounmpo out with injury, this team could fall out of the playoffs in the first round like last season.
Luka Doncic will finally beat the Clippers in the playoffs
For the third time in the past five years, the Dallas Mavericks will face the Los Angeles Clippers, hoping to get over the hump and take on their opponent.
Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and their partners. We are having a great season, growing all the time and becoming a threat in the West. The Clippers are coming off a bad streak, and if Luka continues his good play alongside Irving, the Mavs could make it to the Western Conference Finals.
The Celtics will have another disappointing exit from the playoffs
The Boston Celtics are ready to make a statement this season and finally win the Larry O'Brien Trophy for the first time in 16 years. The C's have the best record in the NBA this season and they won't stop there.
After a disappointing exit last season, they are ready to get revenge and get back to the finals and win that elusive championship. However, this will not be an easy task, and despite their good record, the East team will not be a walk in the park for them. Even if they exit the conference, the West will be waiting with a huge team ready to take on the Celtics.
It's hard to predict the NBA Finals without this team, but at the end of the day, the Celtics don't look like they're going to win it all this year.
