Les Savy Fan has released “Limo Scene,” the latest single from Les Savy Fan Yes, LSF, the band's first album in 14 years. It follows previous cuts “Legendary Tippers” and Guzzle Blood. Check out its music video, directed by guitarist Sid Butler, below.
Speaking about the song, Tim Harrington said: “This song is the story of how the spirit of music's past was kidnapped while searching for the grave of Turner “Rocky” Wilson Jr. – Rocky was a guitarist in The Rivingtons. . He wrote the song “Pappa-Oom-Mow-Mow” (1962) which the garbage men took and used in “Surfin Bird” (1963.) It has been copied, moved and reinvented ever since including the end of this song. You could call it a love letter to musical heritage but a damn message is more like it. It's about how children's music is written – a collection of proliferating ideas.
Yes LSF Arrives May 10 via Frenchkiss/The Orchard.
