“This song is about the fear of losing someone you love,” Benny explained in a press release. “When I listen to it now, it sounds like an anthem to codependency. At the time I thought the more you feared losing someone, the stronger your love was. I've come to see those fears in a different way, but I know they were very real feelings. I love dark '80s music, And Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and so on, and I think the 80s vibe suits a song about those angry youthful feelings.
