Berlin-based producer Luca Venezia's project Curses is back with a new single titled “Elegant Death”, marking his signing with Italians Do It Better. Give it a listen below.
“Death has a dark, looming reputation, it is always there, but embracing the elegance of its romantic ceremony and aesthetic of funerals in Italy is something that has always captivated me,” Venezia explained in a statement. “Especially because I grew up half Italian between New York City and Sicily. There is beauty in the legacy of the human story that death leaves behind. The power of a new chapter, shedding old skin to discover a new chapter.
He continued: “In the past few years, I have had to face the fact that we all die eventually. I have lost many friends, family members have passed away, and overcoming the fear of death has allowed me to appreciate the present, the importance of the now, and create life memories through music, to then be remembered when that time comes to finally say goodbye. “
