“‘Sparky’ is a song about welcoming simple happiness into your world, even in the face of atrocity,” Eva Liu explained in a statement. “She also plays with different ideas of what 'happiness' is, and notes the strange quest to endlessly chase it, often looking in the wrong places, often to your physical and mental detriment. The song is named after the dog 'Sparky' from the opening credits of the song.” “Blue Velvet” by David Lynch which is the perfect image of joy – sipping water from a hose in front of its deceased owner.
