Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday criticized the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and alleged that the Dravidian party is an enemy of Tamil Nadu's future and culture.
Addressing a rally in Kanyakumari, Prime Minister Modi said that the DMK has hatred towards the country, its culture and heritage.
“DMK is the enemy of the future and culture of Tamil Nadu. Before the Ayodhya Ram temple 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, I came to Tamil Nadu and visited prominent temples in the state. They want to destroy Tamil culture,” the chief minister said. Modi said.
He reiterated his party's claim that the state had “banned” the telecast of the recent event at the Ayodhya temple.
“But the DMK government tried to stop the telecast of the Ayodhya Ram temple dedication ceremony. The Supreme Court had to reprimand the Tamil Nadu government… They also did not like the installation of Singul in the new Parliament… It was our government that paved the way for Jallikattu,” he added.
The Prime Minister further asserted that the BJP's performance in Tamil Nadu this time will break the arrogance of the DMK-Congress INDIA alliance.
The Prime Minister said that while the BJP has development initiatives to showcase to the people, the opposition bloc's list of scams is huge.
He alleged that the DMK and Congress were anti-women and they only deceived and insulted women.
Prime Minister Modi said that the central government is “accelerating” several initiatives for Kanyakumari district.
“To improve connectivity in Tamil Nadu, we are preparing a network of railways and highways. Over the last 10 years, highway projects worth around Rs 50,000 crore have been completed in Tamil Nadu. Projects worth Rs 70,000 crore are still under implementation. Ongoing,” According to him.
Prime Minister Modi is also expected to address a rally in Karnataka's Kolar Lok Sabha constituency and hold a roadshow from Mirgaguda to Malkajgiri near Hyderabad in the evening.
