India Festival 2024 will bring a taste of South Asia to Southwest Florida in an all-day cultural celebration featuring a variety of festival favorites.
India Festival, scheduled for April 6 at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater in Fort Myers, returns after a five-year hiatus and has expanded to include a variety of food and beverage vendors, shopping stores, a fashion show, live dance performances and DJs. Riverfront stage. The grand finale of the event is the Holi Color Play, a traditional celebration of the beginning of spring in which attendees throw handfuls of colored powder at each other.
“Festival of India is a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition” said Renuka Devakanthan, president of the Fort Myers Indian Association. “It is important for those with Indian heritage to stay connected to their roots, but also for the greater community to understand and appreciate the diversity here in Southwest Florida.”
India Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater, 2101 Edwards Drive in Fort Myers. Advance tickets are $8 through March and $10 when purchased in April or at the gate; Children 5 years and under are free.
