Ride have unveiled “Monaco,” the latest single from their upcoming album Interaction. It follows previous entries “Peace Sign” and “The Last Frontier”. Check it out below.

“The backing track came from previous Ox4 Sound sessions we had done and we gave it an experimental name of ‘Monaco’ where we were naming these jams and ideas we were putting together as place names,” frontman Mark Gardner explained in a statement. “One evening, during the recording sessions at Ox4 Sound, the guys had all left the building and I was there with just producer Richie Kennedy and an engineer. I was writing some lyrics about how I felt like everyone was broke in the current economic climate with rising energy bills and everything else; So much so that it now seems that we have to live to work rather than work to live.

He added: “The song is a reflection of this feeling that we are all broken into pieces and under constant financial pressure.” “It's kind of a call to arms against this while we still have the strength to fight it. Then 'Monaco' remained the satirical title because the song goes completely against the insanity of the few who live in their separate, artificially rich bubbles in Monaco.

Interaction It will be released March 29 via Wichita Recordings/PIAS.
