An annual celebration of traditional Indigenous culture, hosted by the staff and students of the Wiidookdaading Indigenous Resource Center in Georgia.
The 16th Annual Georgian College of Traditional Capture showcased vibrant indigenous cultures, music and dance on Saturday, March 9 in Barrie.
The annual gala, hosted by staff and students of the Wiidookdaading Indigenous Resource Center in Georgia, celebrated traditional Indigenous culture and was open to the public.
There were two large entries – one at noon and one in the evening with music, dancing, drums, sacred fire, 25 indigenous vendors and a dinnertime feast.
Nearly 25 students helped run the event, which saw more than 2,000 people in attendance.
