In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the iconic Hollywood sign, Vince Spinato and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce debuted a fragrance collection on Friday that captures the essence of Hollywood.
“I've already had the privilege of developing fragrances for icons, so it made perfect sense to create these scents dedicated to a city and landmark associated with so many great artists and performers,” Spinato said in a statement.
Spinnato's gender-neutral fragrances, called Hollywood Sunrise and Hollywood Sunset, come with signature scents. Hollywood Sunset, which retails for $40, includes notes of golden mandarin blossom, highlighted by a floral bouquet and a bronze vanilla base.
Hollywood Sunrise, the second fragrance in the collection available for $40, evokes a relaxing day at the beach, with sprinkles of sea salt and pink guava, along with notes of vibrant tropical fruits, creamy coconut and sunny florals.
While Hollywood Sunrise and Hollywood Sunset are available individually, the two fragrances also come in a duo set. The travel-size Hollywood Fragrance Set is available for $50 at Macys.com and the official Hollywood Fragrances website.
Spinnato's collaboration with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic Hollywood landmark. Originally created in 1923, the Hollywood Sign was initially a “Hollywoodland” sign, to promote the name of a housing development project above Los Angeles, in the Hollywood Hills. The term “land” was eventually removed from the Hollywoodland sign in 1949. Over the past century, the sign has become synonymous with the motion picture industry.
Spinnato has worked with a number of Hollywood stars to collaborate on many luxury perfumes, colognes and fragrances. Spinnato's clients include Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Michael Jordan, and Gwen Stefani, among others.
The Hollywood fragrance collection comes just in time for spring, a season when fruity fragrances have become the trend to watch. Fragrances infused with fruity notes are already present among brands such as By/Rosie Jane and Nette.
