Barcelona, Spain, March 8, 2024 /CNW/ — On the first day of the recently held MWC Barcelona 2024, Liu MaVice President of Huawei's Cloud Core Product Line delivered a compelling keynote speech at the 5.5G Core Summit. In his speech. In his speech, Liu explained the extraordinary progress of 5.5G intelligent core network and its far-reaching impact on future communications technologies, and further emphasized the key role of service, network, and O&M information in the development of the communications industry. Liu stated, “The 5.5G intelligent core network includes service and network information and operation and maintenance information. It helps operators deal with changes in users, services, communication models and networks, and also helps them reconstruct service introduction, redefine business models, and reshape existing operation and maintenance methods.” On the cloud.”

Service intelligence reconstructs service input for operators

With the development of intelligence technologies and the introduction of more XR devices, single-media communications have evolved into multi-media communications. New Calling, a leader in service intelligence, has been deployed in 31 counties China Having launched just last year, it currently serves up to 50 million users. Over the course of its publication, many innovative services have been put into commercial use, such as visual audio calling, real-time translation, and joy calling. These services can provide users with multimodal data exchange, including speech-to-text, speech-to-image, and gesture-to-animation conversions. Besides these new experiences, service intelligence also helps operators rebuild service input, transform voice-only operations into content operations and transform voice and video calls into multimedia communications to support immersive XR applications. Huawei continues its rapid path of innovation with the launch of Voice Avatars, allowing users to customize their avatars based on real-time viewing. In the near future, organizations can also customize virtual brand ambassadors to promote their brands.

    Network intelligence redefines business models

There are three technical gaps that hinder operators from monetizing experience on MBB networks: the service experience cannot be evaluated, services cannot be dynamically improved, and operations are not a closed loop. To fill the above gaps, Huawei proposed the concept of Assessment, Optimization and Monetization (AOM) and implemented the concept through the Intelligent Personal Experience (IPE) solution. Evaluation: Service experiences can be evaluated in real time, which is the basis for monetizing the experience. Optimization: Service experiences can be dynamically optimized, helping to maximize network efficiency. Monetization: After the guarantee is completed, an experience report is immediately sent to the user, so that they can easily recognize the effects of the guarantee. The network intelligence currently enabled by the AOM concept helps operators achieve differentiated experience monetization. This is not a purely technological innovation, but a comprehensive upgrade of operators' business concepts and models as well as a reshaping of business models.

O&M Intelligence technology is reshaping cloud-based operations and maintenance

O&M information becomes the key to efficient communications network operation, driving the evolution from automatic deployment to end-to-end automated delivery, and then to rule-based and large-scale model-based O&M. The Digital Assistant and Digital Expert (DAE) is based on an innovative and intelligent operation and maintenance approach. By enabling visual structure on the GUI and harnessing its strengths in a large multimedia model, DAE delves into the basic O&M workflow. Take monitoring and troubleshooting network issues, such as link, cloud resources, or licensing errors, as an example. After the digital assistant detects errors, the digital expert can analyze these errors. In the future, it is expected that the troubleshooting process will be automated. At the operator's FOA (for POC) location ChinaDAE helps close 80% of trouble tickets, saving 750 days of work per month.

The launch of the 5.5G smart core network represents not only a leap in technical capabilities, but also a big step for the entire telecom industry in the shift towards smart, efficient and personalized services. As the 5.5G core network evolves and extends to more scenarios, it will enable the communications network to be more intelligent, reliable and efficient, providing completely new communications experiences for users, and opening up new business models and growth opportunities for operators.
