Amine Diones released a new song called “Boys”, which is the second preview of his upcoming album Death jokes. Following lead single “Purple Land,” the track comes with a video directed by Stephen Brahms and solo art by the late photographer Ross McDonnell, who also appears on the album’s back cover. Check it out below.

Speaking about the song, Damon McMahon explained: “Boys is another self-portrait, this time about outcasts, ‘bad kids’, and seeing things from their side: ‘Everything I did, happened to you too.’”

McMahon added of the solo art: “I fell in love with Ross's images of boys in Ireland while filming Death jokes He was gracious enough to let me use this photo. The image was both tragic and comic at the same time, like these songs. Ross was a bold, adventurous, wild artist: the kind of artist I aspire to be. While this album was nearing completion, Ross tragically died while swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. He was 43 years old. rest in peace.

“We only had one shot to destroy the room,” Brahms said of the video. “The guys in the video gave us an authentic look and flow. All the crew members were busy after filming and we knew we had something special. Destruction can be very cathartic.”
