MISSOULA – While residual moisture will allow snow showers to fall in the mountains today, the valleys will get some spring sunshine!
Skies will be mostly to partly sunny throughout the day, and valleys will remain mostly dry.
Temperatures are still like winter though. Daytime highs will reach a wide range into the 30s, with morning temperatures quite chilly in the teens.
As we head into the weekend, warm air will push in with a ridge of high pressure and allow for a warm, dry, springy weekend. We are currently lagging behind the average spring temperature trend, but we will catch up this weekend.
Weather conditions generally appear stable until Saturday.
On Sunday, we are tracking the gusty winds to get stronger and the hills will collapse. At that point, we will likely see some light rain on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will remain warm after that, which means rain and some snow is likely at higher elevations.
However, this is not expected to be a large system, it is only enough to analyze the driest air.
We are currently lagging behind the average spring temperature trend, but we will catch up this weekend.
