Decision Bureau headquarters conducted a poll on Super Tuesday in order to determine which issues are of concern to Republicans and Democrats.
The results may not surprise you.
For Republicans, the most important issue is the border crisis and uncontrolled illegal immigration. For Democrats? Not much.
RedState's Jennifer Van Laar has the details:
Super Tuesday exit poll: Abortion is the top issue for Democrats; Biden's border crisis is the most important issue for the Republican Party
A poll of Super Tuesday voters conducted by Decision Desk HQ showed predictable differences between Democrats and Republicans on the issues they care most about in this election.
The poll included absentee, early and daily voters. According to the survey:
- Democratic voters prioritized abortion, with 27% citing it as their top issue. The economy came in second place with a rate of 25% and education in third place with a rate of 11%.
- Despite high expectations from pundits for progressive voters' reactions to President Biden's position on the Israel-Gaza conflict, only 9% of Democratic voters cited foreign policy as their top issue — ranking it fifth overall.
- Republican voters prioritized immigration, with 44% citing it as their top issue, followed by the economy at 28%.
- Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley continues to perform better than former President Trump among independent and Democratic voters.
These results show that President Biden does not have to walk the fine line with Hamas supporters as he thought, and also shows the failure of the entire “non-committed” movement. As we have seen time and time again, these extremists are vocal but not as ubiquitous as they would like us to believe.
It's surprising that Democrats are so focused on abortion while the country is undergoing an invasion, but again, they are the ones behind it.
Of course, the economy is the second most important issue for both sides, and this certainly does not bode well for Biden in November.
