An incoming storm is expected to bring turbulent weather across South Florida late Tuesday into Wednesday.

As of Tuesday, South Florida was under a marginal risk (Level 1 out of 5) of strong to severe storms across the region.

The main threats will be heavy rain, small hail and damaging wind gusts. Some short fluctuations or water flows cannot be ruled out with any of the strong storms that form.

The timing of these storms appears to occur during Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with a few strong storms possible in the afternoon.

Residents should specifically allocate enough time during the morning commute as weather conditions will be very active.

Residual rain will continue Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. By then, the threat of extreme weather should diminish.

The weather pattern will stabilize Thursday afternoon as drier air returns to South Florida.

The storm threat comes after severe weather hit southern Florida on Sunday, bringing hail and flooding in some areas.
