North Texas – We've extended the weekend's warm weather into Monday – yay! Let's keep it going until Tuesday.
There is a slight chance of an isolated storm tonight, especially to the south and east. But the chances of storms seem to have decreased, even compared to the low chances we talked about earlier this morning. If a storm hits, some small hail and gusty winds are possible.
Then we look forward to Super Tuesday – great forecast! Expect a mild start, sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.
Clouds will return on Wednesday with scattered showers possible, but this week's observation day remains Thursday.
We have issued a weather alert for Thursday with the potential for severe storms in the forecast. Starting Monday evening, the main threats will be hail and strong winds as the storm develops Thursday afternoon and evening.
The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted almost all of North Texas for the chance of severe storms, but details will start to become clearer on Tuesday.
A strong cold front will arrive late Friday, bringing temperatures below normal over the weekend.
