Alexei Navalny's mother and mother-in-law laid flowers at his grave in Moscow a day after thousands of people attended his funeral in a public show of defiance.

Mr. Navalny, who was president Vladimir Putin The fiercest local critic died aged 47 in an Arctic penal colony on February 16.
His supporters said he was killed, while the Kremlin denied any involvement in his death.
Amid a heavy police presence, thousands of people gathered to bid farewell to Navalny on Friday, and some chanted his name and said they would not forgive the Russian authorities for his death.
By Saturday, his grave in a Moscow cemetery not far from where he once lived was covered in flowers left by thousands of mourners.
His mother Lyudmila visited her son's grave on the second day.
Although police did not act against mourners, at least 106 people were arrested at events across Russia commemorating Mr Navalny.
A rights group that tracks political arrests said most were stopped while trying to lay flowers at memorials dedicated to victims of Soviet repression.
Navalny's widow, Yulia Navalnaya, was not seen at the funeral, although her mother Alla was at the scene.
Yulia pledged to continue his work, thanking him for “26 years of absolute happiness.”

The funeral came after a battle with the authorities over the release of his body.
His team said that several churches in Moscow refused to hold a funeral for the man who campaigned against official corruption and organized mass protests.
“It was he who opened my eyes to the current political situation in Russia,” one mourner who visited the grave said of Navalny, who rose to prominence and exposed what he said was massive corruption among the ruling elite.
“I have followed all of his investigations closely.”
Another mourner said they were there “to honor the memory of a man who became a symbol of perseverance for me.”
The imprisoned oppositionist collapsed and was unable to regain consciousness amid mysterious circumstances.
Navalny was serving a long prison sentence after years of persecution that included poisoning with a nerve agent in 2020.
