Last week, a reporter for the liberal outlet POLITICO He appeared on MSNBC and suggested that if you're an American who believes your rights come from God and not the government, you're a Christian nationalist.

The intent was to insult all Christians, conservatives, Trump supporters, and all other people the left despises.

Now at least two Christian groups are calling POLITICO And demand an apology.

    Townhall Reports:

Now, Politico is facing formal calls for an apology from two of America's leading religion-focused organizations: the Family Research Council and Catholic Vote.

FRC President Tony Perkins and Catholic Vote President Brian Burch fired off a letter on Wednesday to Politico editor-in-chief John Harris, Politico CEO Julie Sheikhul Islami, and Jan Breuer, executive vice president of Axel Springer, Politico's parent company, demanding an apology for the Przybyla attack. On Christians.

Saying that Przybyla “demonstrated an unqualified lack of knowledge of the founding documents of the United States of America and a biased view toward American religious groups,” Burch and Perkins pointed out how the Politico reporter failed to acknowledge “that our republic was founded on the belief that our rights are our own rights.” “It comes from God, not from earthly kings or governments,” a revolutionary idea “clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence.”

“Miss. The religious leaders’ letter noted that Przybyla is charged with accurate reporting on American government, politics, and law. “It is therefore deeply disturbing that she seemed unaware of the opening of the Declaration of Independence or its references to ‘the laws of nature and of nature’s God.’”

In addition to the unfortunate lack of knowledge about America's founding, Perkins and Burch criticized Przybyla for “attempting to spread misinformation about Christians by creating the perception that they hold unique beliefs that pose a distinct and, in her words, an 'extremist' threat to our country.”

Here is a reminder of what Przybyla said:

here @MSNBC He helpfully illustrates their disdain for Christians in America.

She says that if you believe that your rights come from God, then you are not a Christian, but rather a Christian nationalist.

Somehow they don't seem to mention that our founding documents make this… pic.twitter.com/WTLMqcqTzg

POLITICO He should apologize for this but no one is going to hold their breath waiting for them to do the right thing.
