The cause of the fire was not immediately determined, but Brigadier General Moinuddin. Bangladesh The director of the Fire Service and Civil Defense said that the fire may have been caused by a gas or stove leak.
“It was a dangerous building with gas cylinders on every floor, even on the stairs,” he said.
The force director added that more than a dozen firefighting units were deployed to put out the fire.
Rescuers said that at least 75 people, including 42 who lost consciousness, were rescued from the building.
