On Tuesday, the Chicago area saw severe weather with intense hail and reports of tornadoes, damaging homes in several suburbs, downing trees and leaving hundreds without power.
The National Weather Service said it would arrive in the Chicago area on Wednesday, working to survey damage and finalize storm reports.
