Heavy rain is expected ahead of the cold front Wednesday evening. The winds will be active from the south throughout the day, but the strongest winds will come with the front in the evening. A shift to the west and northwest will bring in cooler air. Highs on Thursday will only be in the 30s. Wind speeds will exceed 50 mph, which could cause damage and outages.
