The 2024 presidential election is being framed by Republicans as whether Donald Trump will likely save America, but could he also do the impossible and save Hunter Biden as well?
In a rare public interview with Axios, Joe Biden's son indicated that he would like to clean up the wreckage of his life, and pointed to Trump as an inspiration.
Well, not in so many words. But if you really think about what he's saying here, it's that Hunter wants to stay vigilant to save democracy…or something like that.
The younger Biden told Axios he wants to stay away from drugs before the election because there are much bigger things at stake.
“Most importantly, you have to believe that you are worth working, otherwise you will never be able to get sober. But I often think about the dire consequences of failure here,” Hunter said.
“Maybe this is the ultimate test for a recovering addict — I don’t know,” Hunter continued. “I have always been in awe of people who have stayed clean and sober through tragedies and obstacles that few people have ever faced. They are my heroes, my inspiration.”
“I have something much bigger than myself at stake,” he said of the upcoming election. “We are in the midst of a battle for the future of democracy.”

Hunter's motivation to stay sober is because Trump must be stopped
Talk about an incredible quote. Hunter finds no inspiration in trying to stay sober during his many years of embarrassing the family name. He finds no inspiration in trying to stay sober for the sake of the daughter he had with a stripper.
But he found it in Donald John Trump. The man continues to work miracles, not only in inspiring conservative America, but even now in inspiring Hunter Biden. And where Joe fails, perhaps Trump can improve Hunter as a person.
Someone whose drug use was so rampant apparently caused federal prosecutors to mistake lines of sawdust on a saw table with cocaine because that seemed like a more reasonable assumption.
It's going to take something really massive to keep Hunter clean and sober. This is the guy whose laptop showed a video of him naked and waving a gun while playing with a prostitute.

Other videos showed Hunter filming himself weighing his stash of cocaine and fondling himself.
He had pictures on his laptop with prostitutes, sometimes with pets, and discussed smoking Parmesan thinking it was cocaine.
Now, Trump may inspire him to stay clean. It will be a truly inspiring story.

Trump inspiration
Obviously we're being a little cheeky here. It would be nice to see Hunter Biden get clean and sober just to make his life better, or the lives of the people around him better.
But with a long history of drug use stretching from the time he got out of the Navy Reserve after failing a cocaine test to the activity on his laptop, there's always a temptation.
“I don't care if you're 10 years sober, 2 years sober, 2 months sober, 200 years sober — your mind at some level is always telling you there's still one answer,” he told Axios.
Some speculated that the cocaine found in the White House last year might be Hunter's, although the Secret Service magically decided they would never find the culprit despite it being the most secure building in the entire world.
Former President Donald Trump attempted to link cocaine to both Hunter and “potential” President Joe Biden.
Hunter claimed in federal court that he had been sober from alcohol and drugs since June 1, 2019.
If Hunter truly believes that democracy is at risk under President Trump and that he must remain vigilant to save the nation, we shudder to think how bad it will be when they announce that the presumptive GOP nominee will return to the White House on election night. .
