Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) inaugurated the 'Samsung Innovation Campus' at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) on February 20, 2024.
The program aims to generate high-quality, industry-relevant skills by training and equipping 1,100 undergraduate engineering students across Karnataka.
The program seeks to raise youth skills in future technology fields such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things and make them work-ready, by integrating technology, basic software skills and technical knowledge, and enabling participants to grow into well-experienced professionals.
This initiative reinforces Samsung's commitment to the government's Skill India initiative as part of the company's vision of #PoweringDigitalIndia.
The program, delivered by experts with access to Samsung Innovation Campus content in the fields of AI and IoT, will focus on instructor-led training for undergraduate students pursuing bachelor's and bachelor's degrees in technology.
In addition to developing technical proficiency, students will be guided through the entire ideation process, problem-solving methodologies, and will be mentored by experts to solve specific problem statements while participating in statewide hackathons.
