The border crisis and uncontrolled illegal immigration is a huge problem that has now overshadowed the economy as the most important issue in the 2024 elections.
Some liberal media outlets have tried to gaslight this issue with the American people, but a recent report from Axios takes this to a whole new level.
According to Axios, the idea of open borders is a “myth” promoted by conservatives.
Note: This report is from October, but Axios tweeted it this weekend, so it's getting a lot of attention right now.
Axios Explains: The Myth of “Open Borders” Between the United States and Mexico
As the Biden administration grapples with the growing number of migrants and asylum seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border, pundits and conservative politicians have stepped up accusations that some Democrats support “open borders” policies.
The Big Picture: By using the term “open borders,” conservatives — including Rep. Jim Jordan, Republican of Ohio, who is seeking House Speaker — suggest that anyone can enter the United States without too much trouble. But the truth is that the southern border is more fortified than ever.
Reality check: Since 1992, the United States has quadrupled the number of Border Patrol agents — from fewer than 5,000 to nearly 20,000 today.
– Barriers, walls and fences have been erected along parts of the 1,951-mile US-Mexico border, as well as new border patrol posts and high-tech surveillance systems.
– The Border Patrol regularly breaks arrest records at the border, highlighting the difficulty of entering the country illegally.

I feel so sorry for anyone who still thinks the news is real, or is even trying to be real.
These poor people are living a kind of Trump nightmare that exists entirely in their minds. https://t.co/TAPlAJM1OU

Someone is auditioning for a gig at Biden's press office.
Also tell this to the family of the woman who was just killed by an illegal who came last year without much trouble. https://t.co/jCkUn1dvzo

This just goes to show that some people in our media are completely delusional. This issue represents a major concern to voters across the board.
This is hardly a myth.
