Last week was warm for Central Texans, but according to the National Weather Service, next week is expected to cool down a bit with the possibility of rain, starting later during the week.
“Temperatures will be much more seasonable as the cold front passes through mid-to-late week,” said NWS meteorologist Patricia Sanchez, discussing Saturday's forecast. “Wednesday will likely remain dry, but rain chances will arrive late Wednesday night.”
The weather on Sunday will remain warm, with temperatures reaching 82 degrees. Winds during the day and night will be brisk, around 25 mph, with increasing clouds toward the evening. The overnight low for Sunday is 60.
Monday will be mostly sunny and warm, with a high of 89 degrees during the day and a low of 64 degrees overnight. As for Monday night, the weather will be cloudy in most areas, with wind speeds reaching 25 miles per hour.
The weather on Tuesday is expected to be cloudy throughout the day and night. The high temperature will be 88 and the low will be around 52. Wind speeds during the night may reach 30 miles per hour.
Wednesday will also be mostly cloudy and cooler, with daytime gusts up to 30 mph. The high for the day is near 64 and the low for the night will be around 41.
On Thursday, 30% rain is expected during the day and 20% at night, in addition to the possibility of thundershowers. The high will reach 60 and the low will reach 45.
Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high of 68 and a low of 38, and moderate winds at 10 mph, with gusts of 16 mph.
The high temperature is expected to rise to 75 degrees on Saturday, with a drop to 52 degrees overnight. Wind speeds could reach 20 mph on Saturday.
