San Diego can expect a dry and mild weekend under partly cloudy skies as a cooling trend begins, the National Weather Service said.
“Dry conditions continue on Saturday with weaker northeasterly winds and a slight cooling near the coast but more warming in the mountains and deserts. By Sunday, the cooling will reach more inland areas, the agency said.
Maximum temperatures on Saturday range from 67 to 71 near the coast, 72 inland, from 72 to 77 in the valleys, from 63 to 71 in the mountains, and about 79 in the deserts. It will be several degrees colder on Sunday.
No hazardous conditions are forecast for area beaches.
Light rain is possible starting Monday night and Tuesday morning, but the total amount is unlikely to exceed a half-inch.
