A gun handler on a film set who loaded a gun for actor Alec Baldwin before shooting and killing a cinematographer was “filthy”, her trial heard.
Prosecutors told the court that “negligent acts” committed by gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez Reed, 26, led to the death of Halina Hutchins during the production of Roast.
Ms. Gutierrez-Reed's lawyers placed the blame on Mr. Baldwin, who they claimed violated basic safety rules.
Mr. Baldwin, 65, is also charged in Hutchins' death on October 21, 2021.
Ms. Gutierrez-Reed has pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and tampering with evidence related to the death during the production of the Western film in the US state of New Mexico.
