When it comes to Joe Biden, MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell is a true believer.
During a recent monologue on his show, he criticized his liberal audience for panicking about Biden's age and diminished mental capacity, insisting that Biden is doing a great job and that no one cares about speeches, only things that are done behind closed doors.
This kind of thinking can be described as whistling behind a cemetery.

Lawrence O'Donnell chides fickle Democrats for questioning Biden's fitness
MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell used his platform, “The Last Word,” on Wednesday night to berate fickle Democrats and talk about how President Joe Biden's inability to deliver speeches and form coherent sentences was not part of his job as president. The idea that Joe Biden is old is based on a complete and utter misunderstanding of the work of the presidency. He insisted that the task was to make decisions, not speeches.
O'Donnell said “giving the speech” was the only part of the presidency that America could witness via the news media, and therefore, the American public could not judge Biden because it could not see the great work he was doing “behind closed doors.”
The host then likened the presidency to the Super Bowl, saying: “You can remember what Patrick Mahomes did on the field, but you can't remember a single word of his speech. And that's for a very good reason. The job is on the field.”
In an attempt to defend his point, O'Donnell stated that “everyone who sees Joe Biden doing his job behind closed doors believes he is fully capable of doing the job,” which apparently included former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy who “always believed that… The president is the president.โ Biden was quite capable when he was in the room negotiating with him last year.

You have to admire O'Donnell's dedication. He's clearly ready to go down ship.
