On the most anticipated Sunday night of the football season, as friends and families gathered together to watch the Kansas City Chiefs' rematch with the San Francisco 49ers, local residents and businesses in downtown Gardner faced an unexpected power outage. Ash and Anvil owner Derek Stockton said tape recorders, coolers and just about everything else were down. “For some reason, four out of five TVs stayed on, and our indoor lights never went off,” he said. Stockton joked that the experience was great and that customers were still able to. To smoke cigars, enjoy food and watch the Super Bowl. “It wasn't bad, but it could have been worse,” he said.
