We will focus on upskilling more than 1,100 young people in future technology areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things and making them job-ready.
Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) has inaugurated the 'Samsung Innovation Campus' at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) to enhance the skills of youth in future technology areas like AI and IoT and make them job-ready. This initiative reinforces Samsung's commitment to the government's Skill India initiative as part of the company's vision of #PoweringDigitalIndia.
Under the programme, Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) will train and empower 1,100 undergraduate engineering students across Karnataka.
The MoU was signed by Dr. B. Rangaswamy, Registrar of VTU in the presence of Dr. S Vidyashankar, Hon'ble Vice President of VTU and other eminent persons of SSIR. The pilot project between SSIR and VTU is an effort to equip students with knowledge and skills related to cutting-edge technologies, thus contributing to the growth of the technology ecosystem in Karnataka.
This initiative, which is facilitated by experts with access to Samsung Innovation Campus content in the areas of AI and IoT, will focus on instructor-led training for undergraduate students pursuing bachelor's and bachelor's degrees in technology. The program aims to generate high-quality, industry-relevant skill sets by training the youth of this nation.
By integrating technology, basic software skills and technical knowledge, the program seeks to enable participants to grow into well-rounded professionals.

In addition to developing technical proficiency, students will be guided through the entire ideation process, problem-solving methodologies, and will be mentored by experts to solve specific problem statements while participating in statewide hackathons.
