Clear skies across the southern plains this morning as the sun rises in the east. Although temperatures this morning are near seasonally average and cool, the heat wave is expected to push afternoon highs back into the 70s.
This week's warming pattern will continue through Tuesday with a high of 79 degrees and will likely reach record temperatures by Wednesday with a high of 82 degrees. Cooling back into the 60s in the second half of this week.
