Wet weather continues in Central Florida through Sunday

Orlando, Florida. The rain was continuous under cloudy skies and a cold front to the south.

As it stalls over South Florida, deep plumes of moisture will continue to roll in which in turn will bring a more consistent and widespread blanket of precipitation overnight and into Sunday.

Expect moderate rain with occasional pockets of heavy rain that can accumulate quickly.

Leesburg tentatively set a new daily rainfall record Saturday of 0.94 inches so far, beating the old record of 0.64 set in 1972, the National Weather Service reported.

Overnight accumulations are expected to be around 1-1.5 inches.

Areas that get slightly higher amounts of rainfall can have localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

Saturday evening lows remain in the upper 50s with Sunday largely similar to today with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. North winds will pick up a bit more and gust around 20 mph throughout the day.

President's Day will be chilly in the upper 50s to low 60s before dropping into the 40s by early Tuesday morning.

A little rain is expected early Monday morning, followed by a gradual calm in the afternoon.
