Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law professor emeritus, attacked Letitia James during a recent appearance on Sean Hannity's show about her impeachment of Trump, suggesting she should stand trial.
He compared what happened with Trump to the Stalin-era idea of “Show me the man, and I will find the crime for you.”
He also said the ruling would have a negative impact on whoever decides to run for office if they knew this kind of thing could happen to them.
Breitbart News has the details:
On Friday on FNC's “Hannity,” Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz criticized former President Donald Trump's civil claim, which resulted in a more than $350 million fine and a three-year ban on doing business in New York state.
Dershowitz called for New York State Attorney General Letitia James to appear before the bar.
“Professor Dershowitz, I'll start with you,” host Sean Hannity said. “I wrote a best-selling book called ‘Get Trump.’ Where did you get the title of that book?”
“I didn't make it up,” Dershowitz replied. “I wish I could be creative and innovative, but obviously I got that from Letitia James' campaign. She should be brought up in front of the bar. You shouldn't have an elected prosecutor campaigning on the promise of arresting a particular defendant. Now if you don't get it,” she said. She'll lose the election. That's the difference between Stalin and Beria in the 1930s when the head of the KGB said to Stalin, 'Show me the man, I'll find you the crime.' That's – show me the man, we know who he is. You told us who Donald Trump is, and we'll find out for you the crook Although there was no harm.”

Everyone knows that this is all political and not about the law. James campaigned to go after Trump.
