But it raises a chorus of objections
A plan that apparently would involve unilaterally declaring a Palestinian state immediately has been unveiled, and it is raising a chorus of objections.
The proposed plan, described by the Washington Post, calls for “the withdrawal of many, if not all, of the settler communities in the West Bank,” Algemeiner reported. Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem; and the reconstruction of Gaza; Security and governance arrangements for the West Bank and Gaza combined.
Astonishingly, this measure would include “early US recognition of a Palestinian state – even as elements of political reform, security guarantees for both Israel and the Palestinians, normalization and reconstruction are implemented.”
The discussion is fascinating because just in October, terrorists from Hamas, which operates from the Palestinian-controlled Gaza Strip, invaded Israel and massacred some 1,200 civilians.
It is clear that the scheme is the work of the United States and many Arab countries.
Gideon Saar, an Israeli MP who does not participate in the government coalition, said: “In my speech yesterday in Berlin, I warned of the dangerous plan being formed for unilateral international recognition of the Palestinian state.”
“This plan will not only not resolve the conflict, but will make it intractable. The Palestinians will gain state recognition without paying the price of a settlement, and will continue the conflict from an advanced position that will harm Israel's right to self-defense.
According to reports, Israel will be excluded from the process entirely.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposes such a move.
“1,400 people were killed and the world wants to give them a state. “It will not happen,” National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said on social media.
“The intention of the United States, with the Arab countries, to establish a terrorist state alongside the State of Israel is an illusion and part of the misleading concept that there is a partner for peace on the other side… while we are in government, and a Palestinian state will not arise.”
The report said Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also said: “In no way will we agree to this plan, which in effect says that the Palestinians deserve a reward for the terrible massacre they committed against us: a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.” The message is that slaughtering Israeli citizens is very beneficial. The Palestinian state poses an existential threat to the State of Israel. As proven on October 7, Kfar Saba will not be Kfar Azza!
The news site also warned of “the overlooked elephant: Opinion polls show that most of the Palestinian people do not actually want a two-state solution at all, on any conditions, or with any borders.”
Hamas leaders said it was unacceptable that they could be expected to recognize Israel in any way.
The report said, “74.7% of Palestinians want a Palestinian-only state that would completely replace Israel, while 72% support the October 7 massacre, which, to be clear, included the burning of Israeli children, beheadings, mass rape, mass murder, and mass murder on a large scale.” wide”. to kidnap.”
