The National Weather Service expects the snow to stop falling in North Jersey by late Saturday morning, as the fast-moving storm moves through the region.
While the snowfall is expected to be worse in other parts of the state, all of North Jersey is under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m.
The NWS says the apparent drop could make “hazardous travel possible” during the storm.
“We urge New Jerseyans to stay safe and stay warm,” New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy tweeted Friday.
