MSNBC legal analyst Caroline Policy has declared that it is “game over” for Fannie Willis in the election fraud trial against former President Donald Trump after stunning testimony contradicted a statement made by special prosecutor Nathan Wade regarding when their romance began.
Robin Yearty, a college friend of Willis', testified that the Fulton County prosecutor's personal relationship with Wade began in 2019, years before the couple said it began and long before he was appointed to the Georgia election interference case.
In their court filing, Willis and Wade admitted a “personal relationship” but said it did not result in any direct or indirect financial benefit to the prosecutor. Wade's sworn statement attached to the filing insisted that their relationship began in 2022 after he was hired.
However, Yerty told the court there was “no doubt” that Willis and Wade were in a romantic relationship before the hire, adding that she was “certain” of that.
Information that Willis hired someone with whom she was in a romantic relationship to sue Trump emerged through a lawsuit last month filed by defendant Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official.

Policy, the MSNBC legal analyst, tried to explain to their viewers how bad this revelation was for Willis, using descriptors like “epic” and “huge.”
“Don't let the legal experts fool you,” she said in her analysis. “It's a heroic act. This is huge. If things go the way we think they will, Fanny Willis has lied to the court, then it's game over for her.”
“It will be excluded,” Polisi predicted. “If they had a relationship before they brought the truth to court, that's a big deal. I can't exaggerate.”

In a statement to far-left media outlet Mediaite, Polisi said the case had been effectively crushed, at least regarding the role of Willis and Wade.
“Willis will be disqualified, which means her entire office is disqualified, which means the case will have to be reassigned and kept before the Georgia Political Action Committee, effectively ending the case,” Policy said. “Her entire credibility has been shot.”

Trump celebrates MSNBC report
Former President Donald Trump took to the social media platform Truth Social to celebrate what he heard during the MSNBC segment.
“MSNBC just announced that it is game over regarding the fake Fannie Willis case in Georgia,” he wrote. “Another scam coordinated by the Biden White House for the purposes of election interference!”
Wade took the stand Thursday to defend allegations that his relationship with Willis did not result in any direct or indirect financial benefit to the prosecutor.
County records show Wade has collected nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. Remarkably, Wade insists he was paid by the DA's office in cash and only had one receipt to show.

Wade also testified that he had “no recollection” of traveling with Willis in 2021 when he was hired.
After that, he completed his testimony and left the courtroom directly.
The case against former President Trump and 14 other defendants is now hanging in the balance, as the decision to disqualify Willis and her office could significantly delay the trial and potentially reduce the chance of a pretrial. November elections.
Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee said earlier in the week that Willis could be removed from the case based on his findings after hearing evidence presented by both sides.
