The company has agreed a sustainable plan for the future of BBC Singers.
The broadcaster is reviewing its performance groups to consider alternative funding models, after cuts to its indoor chamber choir were suspended.
BBC Singers staff will continue to work for the BBC and will be part of the BBC's Radio 3 and Proms, the BBC said on Thursday.
The statement added: “We know this is an uncertain time for the BBC Singers and our orchestras, and we would like to thank them for their resilience and continued commitment to delivering extraordinary music making to our audiences during this period.” .
The BBC and the Musicians' Union have engaged in “constructive conversations over recent months” and said they were “delighted” with the new strategy.
“We agree that artistic excellence, growing influence in music education, partnerships and working on a financially stable basis are essential to the long-term and sustainable future of all BBC performance groups,” the statement said.
“We are committed to working together to achieve these goals and will continue constructive discussions while reviewing the terms and conditions.”
The organizations are also looking at new opportunities for the BBC Orchestra, examining “the levels of resources that support each ensemble as their work develops across broadcasting, education and commercial activities” and looking at how conditions can be updated.
The BBC has also applied for orchestra tax relief for its ensembles, which include symphony and concert bands and the Philharmonic Orchestra, amid financial pressures at the corporation.
Under the plans, BBC Singers will work with choral music education charity, Voces8, for its outreach work.
The partnership builds on the educational and community efforts in East London through the choir, commercial work, and will help identify new opportunities to generate additional revenue for the band.

The BBC had considered collaborating more with partners across the UK, investing more in education, opening up the classical sector as a workplace and taking classical music to new audiences as part of its review.
The announcement comes after the Classical Music Review, which examines the classical sector and the BBC's role in it.
